Sometimes, I wonder what it's like to have a friend into the same music as I am.
Not completely, but one who actually understands the music and the lifestyles it offers.
Shows, straight-edge, anything.
It doesn't even have to be about music, either.
It could be about shoes, clothing, something.
It's not a big deal to some but I always find myself wondering that.
Now don't get me wrong, I am grateful for each friend I have as they are nothing but positive influences in my life.
But, it seems that I have met them all through skateboarding.
Skateboarding isn't the only thing that limits and defines me.
I've seen a couple people who I feel I could connect with but these people also seem very judgmental.
Been around that most of my life and definitely don't need it anymore in my life.
But, these are kids I've seen a lot of times before who hate the kids now who are what they were a couple months to years ago.
These same kids talk down up mall-goths/"scene" kids or whatever, but that's how they were months ago.
I was never a kid that took a subculture too seriously, I never had the obnoxious hair color, jeans I had to struggle to get into, Invader Zim t-shirts, and whatever but I believe that you shouldn't be embarrassed by your past.
I understand parachute pants are embarrassing now, but that's how you grew up, I guess.
Don't knock someone if you were the same way.
Shit is wack.
And, this post is fucking long.
I guess I was trying to say that I just want to talk music to people and just hang out and chill.
Help me out?
