Obsessive Omar.

I've definitely noticed that I have a little bit of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
So, instead of trying to remember them and leave some out when someone asks, I'm just going to make a list and gradually fill it in whenever I remember.

  • If I put something in the microwave, it has to end all the way, even if it gets to :01 and I'm really hungry. I can not take out my heated food if there is any seconds or minutes left.
  • When I walk in the sidewalk, I have to count how many steps I walk inside a sidewalk block or if they're all the same size, all my steps have to be equal.
  • I have to sleep with my hand inside my pants, not anything meant to be sexual. I just have to have my hand in my crotch area, because it is warm.
  • I have to shut the light switch off and if it doesn't make a click noise (or doesn't sound right), I have to re-do it.
  • When I say something and I liked it, or I am remember a conversation from earlier, I have to say it under my breath (I'll also say this if I felt I could have said something better).
  • When I am home, I have to piss sitting down. I don't use public restrooms, but when I actually use it, I have to do it standing.
  • Whenever I am sitting on the toilet, I have to clean my ears with a q-tip.
  • When I walk up/down stairs, I have to count how many steps.
  • If clothes aren't folded a specific way, I have to redo it.
  • When I sit in the kitchen, I can't sit in a seat where my back is facing a window.
  • Everything has to be symmetrical.
  • When I eat McDonalds or any fast food place and I finish my food, I have to roll every piece of trash into the big hamburger wrapper and roll that up real small.
  • If I eat McDonalds or any hamburger joint, I have to put fries inside my burger.
  • When I eat french fries, I have to grab two or three and then eat them.
  • When I eat french fries, they can not be imperfect or I won't eat them.
  • When I count in my head, I'll do this weird number/dot/tapping system (that no one gets but totally makes sense when I describe it) with my finger, tapping on a surface or just tapping in the air.
  • When I get home, I have to go into my room before I go anywhere else in the house.
  • Whenever I wash myself, I have a routine of what I wash first.
  • When I brush my teeth, I have to put water on my toothbrush first, apply toothpaste, then put the toothbrush/toothpaste in water before I put it in my mouth.
  • I'll, most of the time, put crayons or colored pencils in order from what I think is darkest to light.
  • My socks have to be the same, or I won't leave my house.
  • When I cut my fingernails, I always start from left pinky finger and end on right pinky finger.
  • If I don't wear my retainer after a day or two, I have to blow through the gap of my teeth, at least 3 million times a day.
  • When I get out of the shower or get done eating, I have to cough to the point of gagging.
  • I can't sleep with socks on.
  • Whenever I pull out a cup from the kitchen cabinet, I have to smell it.
  • Shampoo then conditioner, always.
  • When I go to sleep, the fan has to be on and blowing in my face.
  • When I go to sleep, I have to put the TV on sleep mode.
  • But, if my mom turns it off and forces me to sleep, I'll stay up 2 hours, thinking about things I did throughout the whole day.
